HAPPY NEW YEAR: MY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2014

Heey,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Congratulations on getting through 2013 you all deserve a virtual pat on the back ;)

Today I thought I'd share with you, my resolutions for 2014 (as you can see by the title).

I love to read but I don’t read enough. It’s taken me almost 6 months to read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for gods sake!

Have more pamper evenings.

I am always so jealous of Zoella when I watch her ‘Pamper evening essentials' video and I think that I need to start having more pamper evenings!

Be more grown up.

I’m not saying start paying bills and dressing like Mum (help me if I ever do). But I need to start saving my money and not spending it on things that I might not need. I also want to make my room more grown up, de-clutter and think if I haven’t used this in the past year, I don’t need it.

Capture more moments.

Take more pictures. I want to make a scrapbook or photo album of 2014 so I can look back at it in future times.

Be kind to my skin.

Stick to my skincare routine as much as I can. It may not be possible some times but try and keep to using face wash, cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

Pay more attention to my Blog.

Post at least once a week and try to keep to the schedule. If I know I won’t be able to make the date, write in advance!

Things to remember

Don’t over pack, you only need essentials!

Make the most of every moment.

Take care of your hair!

Nothing is a waste if you enjoy it.

And those are my 2014 new year resolutions, I tried to make them realistic and easy. I said last year that I wanted to do more chores around the house and stick to piano but I didn't really stick to it so that was kind of a fail.

Anyway, happy 2014! What are you most proud of in 2013?

Hugs and kisses

My top 5 Christmas Songs!

Heey,

( Just a quick note, I forgot to schedule this post and it was meant to go up on Christmas day but obviously not but it's still a post I can share with you! Hope you all had a lovely time and there will be another post going up soon to make up for lost time :D)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

This post is just going to tell you what my top 5 Christmas songs are. This post is going up on Christmas day and I'm sure no one will look at this but I hope that anyone who does see this, enjoys it so yeahh...

In no particular order because I love them all so much.

Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone

The song doesn't start until 0.55 so you ca skip till then to hear the song.

Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody

Don't get this confused with the song by Shakin' Stevens (the one above) they have very similar titles, a 4 letter difference! But I thought they linked nicely and this is one of my favorite songs to sing to when I'm putting up the decorations with my sister.

Bing Crosby - Winter Wonderland

When I was deciding what my top Christmas songs were I found myself looking up this one and sadly, I could sing all of the lyrics!

Wizzard - I wish it could be Christmas everyday

I know that if Christmas was everyday then it would take away the magic, but if everyday in December or the week up to the 25th was Christmas that would be amazing! - Don't you agree?

Leona Lewis - One more sleep

All of the songs so far have be out for as long as I have lived but this year the Christmas song collection has grown because of this new number by Leona Lewis, the first time I heard it I knew that it would be the theme tune for Christmas this year and I was right because hardly a day goes by without me hearing it!

What would be your top 5?

LUSH: Christmas Eve and Shoot for the Stars

Heey,

I know that I started another blog to do these type of posts but I wanted to share this one with you!

First I put in Christmas Eve to make the bubbles

Then it was time to put Shoot for the Stars into the water!

After a while...

When I had finished my bath the water looked like this:

When all the water had drained away the bottom of the bath was almost covered in glitter so I would suggest cleaning the baht with hot water straight afterwards. The smell from both products was amazing and I think that it was very warming and Christmassy!

Q: Have you tried any of these products?

ELF Order

Heey,

I know that this has been a long time coming because at the beginning of November I ordered a few things from E.L.F
ELF is a make up brand and it stands for: Eyes, lips, face. The reason I ordered from them was because they had 50% any order so I thought it was the best time to order. Amber had told me she ordered from ELF and that was also another reason I ordered because she showed me the website and the products looked great. I was with Zoe when I decided on what I was getting and she ordered 2 things and paid me pack. If you want to know what she got, then look at her blog because there might be post about it coming soon.

My most used item from ELF is their brushes.
I ordered 2. The eye crease brush and the blending eye brush

I use the blending eye brush more because it's bigger and fluffier so I find it easier to blend and apply eye shadow.

I also love my jumbo eye shadow stick. I use this as a base and because it's a golden shimmer colour, it can have any colour on top of it. The name of it is 'Little Miss Thing' I don't know why it's called that, but it is!

As you can see from the picture below, I have a blush and bronzer combo. Personally I fell for the picture without testing the product. I do love the blush so much. It's a very pretty pink and it's quite light but build able. It does have shimmer but I find that it is unnoticeable on the skin. The bronzer is poo powder. It doesn't blend well at all and I find that it's very orange and streaky. If they did this but with a better bronzer it would be an amazing product. I think the packaging is meant to look like Nars.

Another product was the ELF pressed powder in light beige. I have mixed feelings about this. I haven't really been using this but that's because I am always using my Rimmel stay matte powder and I know that there is no comparison between them. I will do a review on this soon if you would like me to. Until then, I can't really say a lot about this.

I also bought the duo eye shadow cream in 'Coffee and Cream'. I have mixed feelings about this because it looks like it could be alright but when I test it on my hand or even use the product on my eye lids, it doesn't stay on for a long time and the colour of the brown doesn't look amazing but the clear on seems alright.

The final product I've been loving it technically 5 seen as they were all bought separately. I bought the eye shadow compact with 4 colours. I bought: Moondust, Dusk, Pink Ice and Aubergine. I also had to buy the compact. This is very much like the MAC compact, only a lot cheaper! The colours are very pigmented but extremely powder-y meaning that they will run out soon because it only takes one swipe and half the pan has gone!

However, I wasn't please with all of my products, there were 2 that I really didn't like and wish I didn't buy. This was the Plumping Lip Glaze in Ruby Kiss and the Exact Lash Mascara.

The lip glaze was actually a very nice colour but it was the feel of the product that pit me off. It was peppermint taste and made my lips feel as if they were burning. The product is actually double ended but unfortunately even the clear side was horrible for the same reasons.

The mascara on the website looked like it would be amazing, I bought it because with all of my mascara's I tend to miss the inner corners and those few lashes can make you eyes look really wide and awake! The picture showed the wand to be small but very precise. This was of course not the case. The formula is very clumpy and the brush was so small it was almost like they squished on as many bristles as possible. I haven't used this since.

That's all for my ELF haul, sorry it's really late and quite long, but I ought quite a few things! Ambs has done a post on this so go and check it out HERE! Thank you for reading, please subscribe for more posts, and look out for ELF reviews coming up soon.

Q: Have you tried any ELF products?

Just a little update!

Heey,

I don't really have an excuse why I haven't been posting, I just haven't. It might be because I'm spending more time doing other things like going out with my friends, doing homework, baking and just little things that take up more time than expected.

To be honest, I almost look up to the people like my friend Ambs, who can post everyday and still find time for everything else. What I'm trying to say is that starting from today, I will try and make more of an effort. I'm not saying that I'll be able to post everyday but I want to at least try and stick to my schedule of Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Also, I just want to say, merry Christmas because I haven't said it yet. I hope that you all have a lovely day, whatever you're doing!

That's it for today, another post coming up this Wednesday!

Hugs and kisses

Haul

Heey,

On Sunday, I went shopping with Zoe and I have to say that it wasn't hard to spend £25! There were 2 presents I bought for my Mum and my sister but they might be reading so I won't say what I got them, but I will say that I got them both from Boots.

The first place I went was LUSH (you should know me by now!) and I bought The Melting Snowman. It's my first ever purchased Bath melt and I'm happy that it's from the Christmas collection. It says on the website that:
Exquisitely fragranced with Hot Toddy, a favourite blend from Christmas past containing cinnamon, clove, patchouli, benzoin, lime and sweet wild orange oils. But if it isn't enough to smell of one of our most popular Christmas fragrances - he's also got a body made of water softening bicarb of soda, cocoa butter and Shea butter. All these wonderful butters melt into your bath water, leaving you soft and moisturised. His legacy is your great skin, which means he lives on in the memory of all who knew him.

He is quite cinnamon-y if that's a word (?) and I don't usually like the cinnamon scents but The Melting Snowman was really cute and I've heard quite good things about it, so I thought I'd try it out, I probably won't use it until next year (which sounds scary by the way) because I have all of my baths planned, which makes me sound like a freak but trust, me I'm not!

That's all I bought from LUSH but I won't be buying anything until Christmas because my Mum thinks that I spend too much money at LUSH. But afterwards I am defiantly going shopping to get all of the sales.

The only other shop that I bought things in is Boots.

I walked over to the NO. 7 counter first and picked up something for £6 but it was one of the presents so I can't say what it was but after picking out what to get, Zoe and I walked over to the make up isle and Zoe spotted a sign above Bourjois that said if you spent £15 or over you got a free gift worth £29, so I decided to get 2 things from there. The first was a present so, sorry but I can't tell you about it but the other thing was for myself so I can tell you about it.

I got a lipstick in Shade 4. It is from their Rouge collection and I love the colour. It's a nude but with a hint of berry. I couldn't decide between this one or shade 2 as both of them were nude colours but Zoe said that I would suit shade 4 more so I opted for that one. I have used it once just to see what the colour was like and I loved it. Because it's a nude with a berry hint, I was only a few shade lighter than my own lips but at the same time it made a big difference, yet at the same time it was very subtle.

I am really excited to start using this and I think i'm going to wear it next weekend. Please comment if you would like to have a review on the lip stick.

I did get the free gift but I'm saving that for a different post. I you could like to know what my next posts are then if you look on the right hand side of this page, it says what my next posts are!

Hugs and kisses
Liv xoxo

November Faves!

Heey,

I haven't had many things that I have been loving in November but a handful of things so I though I'd do a post...

Make Up

I ordered a package of elf at the beginning of November and I will be doing a little haul of that soon, but I have been loving my blusher and bronzer combo.

I haven't been wearing a lot of make up but I couldn't live without my concealer so that's my staple product during November. I use MUA cover and conceal. I have talked about this before but I will just say that it is a liquid concealer and applies and blends in nicely. I have shade Natural.

Fashion

You should know by now that I am always wearing over-sized jumpers during this time of year. My favorite one is a Primark red one but you can always see me in a pink one from New Look as well!

Music

I have been loving Lily Allen - Somewhere only we know, mainly because I cry every time I hear it because it reminds me of the John Lewis advert and that gets me every time!

Other

I had an amazing bath near the beginning of November when I used Twilight and I did a whole post about it on my other blog and I will link that HERE

Thank you for reading, sorry it's late AGAIN by the way, sorry that some of my pictures aren't my personal ones because I take the pictures on my Dad's iPad because it has a really good quality camera and I could email them to myself and download them on my laptop. However in the past week the emails haven't been sending because of something, not sure what but it's really annoying so you'll have to bear with while I sort that out!
Comment what you have been loving this November!

Hugs and kisses
Liv xoxo
