Heey,
I know that this has been a long time coming because at the beginning of November I ordered a few things from E.L.F
ELF is a make up brand and it stands for: Eyes, lips, face. The reason I ordered from them was because they had 50% any order so I thought it was the best time to order. Amber had told me she ordered from ELF and that was also another reason I ordered because she showed me the website and the products looked great. I was with Zoe when I decided on what I was getting and she ordered 2 things and paid me pack. If you want to know what she got, then look at her blog because there might be post about it coming soon.
My most used item from ELF is their brushes.
I ordered 2. The eye crease brush and the blending eye brush
I use the blending eye brush more because it's bigger and fluffier so I find it easier to blend and apply eye shadow.
I also love my jumbo eye shadow stick. I use this as a base and because it's a golden shimmer colour, it can have any colour on top of it. The name of it is 'Little Miss Thing' I don't know why it's called that, but it is!
As you can see from the picture below, I have a blush and bronzer combo. Personally I fell for the picture without testing the product. I do love the blush so much. It's a very pretty pink and it's quite light but build able. It does have shimmer but I find that it is unnoticeable on the skin. The bronzer is poo powder. It doesn't blend well at all and I find that it's very orange and streaky. If they did this but with a better bronzer it would be an amazing product. I think the packaging is meant to look like Nars.
Another product was the ELF pressed powder in light beige. I have mixed feelings about this. I haven't really been using this but that's because I am always using my Rimmel stay matte powder and I know that there is no comparison between them. I will do a review on this soon if you would like me to. Until then, I can't really say a lot about this.
I also bought the duo eye shadow cream in 'Coffee and Cream'. I have mixed feelings about this because it looks like it could be alright but when I test it on my hand or even use the product on my eye lids, it doesn't stay on for a long time and the colour of the brown doesn't look amazing but the clear on seems alright.
The final product I've been loving it technically 5 seen as they were all bought separately. I bought the eye shadow compact with 4 colours. I bought: Moondust, Dusk, Pink Ice and Aubergine. I also had to buy the compact. This is very much like the MAC compact, only a lot cheaper! The colours are very pigmented but extremely powder-y meaning that they will run out soon because it only takes one swipe and half the pan has gone!
However, I wasn't please with all of my products, there were 2 that I really didn't like and wish I didn't buy. This was the Plumping Lip Glaze in Ruby Kiss and the Exact Lash Mascara.
The lip glaze was actually a very nice colour but it was the feel of the product that pit me off. It was peppermint taste and made my lips feel as if they were burning. The product is actually double ended but unfortunately even the clear side was horrible for the same reasons.
The mascara on the website looked like it would be amazing, I bought it because with all of my mascara's I tend to miss the inner corners and those few lashes can make you eyes look really wide and awake! The picture showed the wand to be small but very precise. This was of course not the case. The formula is very clumpy and the brush was so small it was almost like they squished on as many bristles as possible. I haven't used this since.
That's all for my ELF haul, sorry it's really late and quite long, but I ought quite a few things! Ambs has done a post on this so go and check it out HERE! Thank you for reading, please subscribe for more posts, and look out for ELF reviews coming up soon.
Q: Have you tried any ELF products?
Hugs and kisses
Liv xoxo
