LUSH - Think Pink review

I tried a bath bomb recently from LUSH and it was called 'Think Pink'.

I've done a YouTube video on my channel where you can see what happened, but I did also use another LUSH product called Creamy Candy Bar which is meant to create bubbles in your bath.

But I think that it didn't really work and whether that's because I didn't put enough in or it wasn't a good product, I don't know! Please comment if you have tried it, and how it worked for you!

Please subscribe while your there :)

I thought I'd do a review of it because I just showed you what happened in my video.

I found that it defused really quickly and I liked that because it just annoys me when it's floating around the bathtub. I also found that the colour spread without having to swish the water around.
After I had finished my bath, I took the plug out and when the water was mostly gone, I could see little pink hearts on the bottom. I wasn't sure what I thought of that, but I think that if they came up to the surface, then that would have been nicer, because I would have seen them instead of sitting on them!
The bath bomb had 3 flowers on the top as well but they dissolved while I was getting in the bath. It didn't make any bubbles, so that was a downside, but the pretty pink colour made up for the missing bubbles.

When I was dry and ready for bed, I couldn't smell the scent of the bath bomb when it was in the bath, so I was disappointed with that but otherwise I would give 'Think Pink' 3 thumbs!

INTERNET FRIENDS!

So I have been on summer holiday since the end of July. But my family choose not to go abroad this year, so I have just been at home or out my friends. But most of them HAVE been gone on holiday during the holidays, so I haven't seen hardly any of my friends. But that hasn't stopped me from 'seeing' them.

Skype! As you should know, my friend Charlie (who also has a blog) she is moving to my school in September, but at the moment, she's living in Northampton. But moving down to Bournemouth very soon! But when I was in year 8, she came for a day where she saw what school she's moving to. I was picked to be her 'tour guide' for the day, and I think we instantly clicked, and became good friends.

But because she went back to Northampton to get ready for moving down, we didn't see each other in person. But with the help of Facebook and Skype, I can talk to her whenever I want. And we have been Skype-ing  each other until late at night! Plus we have our own Blog that we share called Beauty Tips and Fashion Tricks (BTFT)

Internet safety is a big thing and you shouldn't be contacting people that you haven't meet before! So please don't go adding people and talking to them, giving away personal information, unless you know who they are, and you have met!

And I know Charlie and I are going to be the best of friends very soon!

That's it for today, I'm sorry it's a bit short but I just wanted to upload a cheeky post today for you guys.
Also yesterday's blog post didn't have any pictures, because it wouldn't upload them from my camera for some reason, but I'm trying to fix that!

Back to School Make Up Look

Not everyone is allowed to wear make up to school, and don't worry, neither am I!
But my school isn't extremely strict which means that lipstick and a smokey eye is a big NO! But tinted lip balm and powder is okay, as long as there is no foundation.

So when I watch back to school make up tutorials, I get annoyed with  all the videos and tutorials I find, are all for american schools, where you can wear fake eye lashes and a full face of foundation to school. I know that this isn't everywhere, but if I went to a school that allowed us to wear make up then I would only do a natural make up look because make up does give you spots, there's no taking away from that, and by adding more make up, you are just creating more spots and it's just an endless cycle, so some days, or maybe even weeks, you have to bear all, which... sounds scary, but no one should judge you, because there's this thing called puberty and believe it or not...this happens to EVERY HUMAN ON EARTH

So I thought, that I should do a UK back to school make up look/products to use type thingy mabobbyyy.

*****

First, concealer, I use the MUA cover and conceal wand. I put this under my eyes to cover up some purple-ness and also around my nose where I get a bit of redness. Also wherever I want to highlighter or brighten.

What most people don't know is that you shouldn't put concealer straight onto spots and blemishes. You should put the concealer onto the tip of your finger and then put the product on with your finger because that way, you don't infect your concealer wand/brush! I use another MUA concealer, but this one is the concealer pen.

Then mix it in to your skin. Now, I personally use an eye shadow brush that wasn't a big fluffy one, is was a tall flat, compacted one, and I use this to spread in my concealer, then use my 4th finger to spread it in as this has the least amount of pressure and you don't want to poke your eye to hard of give yourself a nosebleed!

Then I take a small amount of bronzer (MUA, SHADE 1) and put it where the sun would naturally hit my face. I use a real techniques blush brush to do this, and taking the same brush, do my blusher. I use a MUA blusher, in the shade CUPCAKE.

After that I shape my eyebrows with an eye brow brush. And if my eyebrows are looking particularly sparse, then I might fill them in with my angled eye shadow brush and my eye brow colour. Unfortunately I fill in my eye brows with a palette from a company called Royal, but there packaging isn't good because IT DOESN'T SAY WHAT IT'S CALLED! How ever I did find someone selling the exact same palette on eBay and I will put the link HERE !

After doing that I might use my MUA eye shadow in shade 17 which is a matte, skin colour. I use this to cover up my purple eye lids (because they are so vainy) and because I wear this, they look normal! But when I don't use this in the morning, then people think I have purple eye shadow on!

The mascara that I use chops and changes. For a long time I used No.7 Extreme Length and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! But it has been lost/stolen and I haven't been around to get a new one, do I've been using No.7 Exquisite Curl in BLACK and it does almost the exact same thing! So I'll be using that for a while.

After mascara you just have your lips now and I normally wear The Body Shop Born Lippy Pot in WATERMELON. It's really moisturizing and smells like watermelon. They have it in other flavors and you can find them in store or on their website HERE

And that's it!
Hope you found this useful if, like me, you can't wear a lot make up to school.

Hugs and kisses

What to do on a rainy day

I live in England so we have a lot of rainy days. So people may think we are an expert on 'living indoors' as I like to call it. But, not everybody knows how to make the most of rainy days.

I think that sunny days where you can go to the beach with friends or take a walk through the park, are great! In fact I prefer them to staying inside all day.

When I do stay inside though, I turn into a lazy slob! I'm trying to stop that though and do more exciting things like writing this blog. SO I thought I'd tell you What to do on a rainy day

1. Write a blog

I've just started this blog and have only done 3 posts but I'm finding this really fun! I think that anybody can do one EVEN YOU!
(I'm actually writing this post on a rainy day!)

2. Redecorate without paint

Redecorating doesn't have to involve painting your room or buying new furniture. You can redecorate with just your hands! As you can see in this picture, this person has 'redecorated' by just tidying up! I know you'll hate me for saying this...but you can always tidy your room!

If you have a pile of clothes on the floor, then you can always put them away, but if you can't for whatever reason, then just make the pile neat and tidy by folding them nicely or moving them to somewhere where it doesn't matter, for example, the bottom of your wardrobe.

Change your bed sheets, put up a poster, add a rug, organize your make up counter, open your curtains... these are all things you can do without spending a lot of money/any at all!

3. Cook!

How to make fairy cakes

I know that not everyone can cook a 3 course meal or bake a wedding cake, but everyone can make cookies or cupcakes and maybe even a chocolate cake, for the more advanced bakers!

Here's a quick and easy recipe for cute chocolate chip cupcakes:

Ingredients:

200 gramsStork or baking butter
200 grams(Golden) Caster Sugar
3Eggs (beaten)
1 tspVanilla Extract or any other flavoring
200 gramsSelf Raising Flour
1/2 tspBaking Powder
50 gramsDark Chocolate Chips (optional)
50 gramsMini Fudge Chunks (optional)

How to make chocolate chip cupcakes:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees 180ºC, fan 170ºC, gas mark 5.
2. Mix together the Stork or baking butter and the (Golden) Caster Sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the Vanilla Extract or any other flavoring and Self raising flour to the mix.
4. Mix the ingredients together whist slowing add the beaten eggs and baking flour.
5. When the mixture is smooth and all the same colour, add the Dark Chocolate chips and Mini Fudge Chunks if you are including these.
6. Bake these for 20 mins then take out and leave to cool for a few minutes before decorating however you want to :)

That's it from me today
Next post will be a beauty one :)
