Not everyone is allowed to wear make up to school, and don't worry, neither am I!
But my school isn't extremely strict which means that lipstick and a smokey eye is a big NO! But tinted lip balm and powder is okay, as long as there is no foundation.
So when I watch back to school make up tutorials, I get annoyed with all the videos and tutorials I find, are all for american schools, where you can wear fake eye lashes and a full face of foundation to school. I know that this isn't everywhere, but if I went to a school that allowed us to wear make up then I would only do a natural make up look because make up does give you spots, there's no taking away from that, and by adding more make up, you are just creating more spots and it's just an endless cycle, so some days, or maybe even weeks, you have to bear all, which... sounds scary, but no one should judge you, because there's this thing called puberty and believe it or not...this happens to EVERY HUMAN ON EARTH
So I thought, that I should do a UK back to school make up look/products to use type thingy mabobbyyy.
*****
First, concealer, I use the MUA cover and conceal wand. I put this under my eyes to cover up some purple-ness and also around my nose where I get a bit of redness. Also wherever I want to highlighter or brighten.
What most people don't know is that you shouldn't put concealer straight onto spots and blemishes. You should put the concealer onto the tip of your finger and then put the product on with your finger because that way, you don't infect your concealer wand/brush! I use another MUA concealer, but this one is the concealer pen.
Then mix it in to your skin. Now, I personally use an eye shadow brush that wasn't a big fluffy one, is was a tall flat, compacted one, and I use this to spread in my concealer, then use my 4th finger to spread it in as this has the least amount of pressure and you don't want to poke your eye to hard of give yourself a nosebleed!
Then I take a small amount of bronzer (MUA, SHADE 1) and put it where the sun would naturally hit my face. I use a real techniques blush brush to do this, and taking the same brush, do my blusher. I use a MUA blusher, in the shade CUPCAKE.
After that I shape my eyebrows with an eye brow brush. And if my eyebrows are looking particularly sparse, then I might fill them in with my angled eye shadow brush and my eye brow colour. Unfortunately I fill in my eye brows with a palette from a company called Royal, but there packaging isn't good because IT DOESN'T SAY WHAT IT'S CALLED! How ever I did find someone selling the exact same palette on eBay and I will put the link HERE !
After doing that I might use my MUA eye shadow in shade 17 which is a matte, skin colour. I use this to cover up my purple eye lids (because they are so vainy) and because I wear this, they look normal! But when I don't use this in the morning, then people think I have purple eye shadow on!
The mascara that I use chops and changes. For a long time I used No.7 Extreme Length and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! But it has been lost/stolen and I haven't been around to get a new one, do I've been using No.7 Exquisite Curl in BLACK and it does almost the exact same thing! So I'll be using that for a while.
After mascara you just have your lips now and I normally wear The Body Shop Born Lippy Pot in WATERMELON. It's really moisturizing and smells like watermelon. They have it in other flavors and you can find them in store or on their website HERE
And that's it!
Hope you found this useful if, like me, you can't wear a lot make up to school.
Hugs and kisses
xoxo
