I was asked by my Mum what I wanted for Christmas and everything is LUSH or beauty related. I asked for a few Real Techniques brushes, but I thought that I actually have a good collection, so I thought I'd show you (:
All the brushes are extremely soft and easy to use, they look professional and are easy to buy from any good supermarket or beauty shop. The brushes I own range from £8.99 - £21.99. I bought 2 of my brushes with my own money and asked for the rest for my birthday. I was very lucky to get them and I am in no way bragging.
1) Blush Brush £9.99
The first R.T brush I ever had was the Blush Brush for £9.99. I bought this myself and I was very pleased with it. At the time I didn't wear much make up, but I have enough to have an expensive brush (if that makes sense) I love this brush because it is hand-cut to contour and define cheeks for flawlessly blended, high definition results. I used this brush for blush, bronzer and powder but now I mainly use it for the first 2. I would recommend this brush as a 'starter brush'.
2) Expert face brush £9.99
This was a present from my birthday from my grandparents. This is a foundation brush but I think you could use it for any liquid make up, this could be liquid blush or cream bronzer, to the standard foundation and concealer. The E.F brush is ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation. I would diffidently say this is the best foundation brush I know of/have. It doesn't look streaky when you apply it on the skin, it can make any foundation look pixel perfect even in harsh lights. I wouldn't say this was a starter brush but great for someone who wore make up quite often.
3) Stippling brush £11.99
I bought the Stippling brush with my own money after my birthday. I love this brush SO much! If I am wearing foundation I have to blend it in with this brush. The dual-fiber stippling brush is the trade secret for creating airbrushed, high definition results with all types of make up. So this means you can use the brush to apply or blend almost all skin products. Teamed with the E.F brush you can create a flawless base for your make up.
4) Setting brush £8.99
This was a present from my birthday from my grandparents. This is a mini powder brush, in it's basic form. This brush is amazing for applying powder to anywhere on your face. I mainly use it for down my nose and under my eye's because if I'm having a good skin day then I don't want to wear too much powder or my face could look cake-y. The micro setting brush is the key to completing any look with a controlled dusting of powder or highlighter. I also used this for contouring the nose when I did my friend's make up the other day because this is a great way of making your nose look slimmer.
5) Starter Set £21.99
This was a present from my birthday from my grandparents. I was so happy when I unwrapped this. It includes 5 brushes:
- Base Shadow Brush - applies a smooth, flawless foundation of colour
- Deluxe Crease Brush - soft oversized design for effortless contouring
- Accent Brush - designed for precision detailing, spotlighting, highlighting and smudging
- Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush - tapered cut is ideal for dense or fine eyeliner application
- Brow Brush - distinctive shape easily defines eyebrows
It also comes with a Panoramic Case - dual carrier and stand keeps brushes organized on your counter or on the go. I use the case to carry all of my brushes when I go to a friends house or on holiday, as it has 3 extra bands that you can use for other brushes.
This set is amazing. As you could probably tell, they are basically all eye brushes. However there is one brush (Deluxe Crease Brush) which can be used for either blending out the crease or used for blending concealer. If you watch people like Zoella, Tanya Burr or Sprinkle Of Glitter, when they blend their concealer, 9/10 times, they use this brush.
All together I have 9 brushes. I think this is quite a lot considering the fact that all together I have £62.95 worth or real techniques brushes.
Thanks for reading, what collection should I do next? Comment what you think!
Hugs and kisses
