Autumn Favourites

Heey,

For me, Autumn is the time of year that goes so quickly that it just merges with Winter. I'm never quite sure when one finishes and the other one starts. Autumn is also the time of year when we begin to prepare ourselves for the colder moments when all we want to do is hibernate until Christmas (yes, I said it, the C word).

At the end of September Zoe Sugg (Zoella) came out with a beauty range in Superdrug. It included products such as a body mist, body lotion, bath fizz, make up bags, bath soak and a candle. I choose the latter which was probably the least popular in my local Superdrug, but it was the thing I had my eye on since the beginning. It smells amazing - white wood accents and floral notes. The packaging is cute and I will continue spend £5 on a candle, even if people see it as a waste of money.

My second favourite of the season is my Primark PJ's. Yes, I know, a bit strange but seriously, they are the most comfortable clothes I own! The soft fleece material is so warm and cosy, plus the cute owl print makes it an adorable addition to the bedroom. The stitching is surprisingly good for Primark and I believe they were about £8 for the set, a bargain in my eyes.

Next is my Made In Chelsea box-set. I was  given this for my birthday in August (from my Grandparents) and I didn't even open it until October. I love MIC and so does my Mum, and Sister (always hot topic when we next see each other) but I only really started to watch it at Series 3. The box set (from HMV) includes series 1-5. I love watching it in bed while drinking hot chocolate in my owl PJ's.

Tyler Oakley recently released a Podcast called Psychobabble with childhood friend - Korey Kuhl. I have listened to all of them and there was not one that I wasn't doubled over laughing at. Not an exaggeration. He's had Troye Sivan as a special guest on the show which is one of my favourite episodes and I'm sure some more people will appear on the show. I love listening to this before bed with a mug of hot chocolate and biscuits. Ohh and don't forget to live tweet along with the show...

In just over 200 days I will be travelling to London to go and see 5 Seconds of Summer with my best friends. A crazy experience that I will not forget to blog about. In preparation for the show in June, I have been non-stop listening to 5SOS' album and E.P. My favourite songs being English Love Affair, Daylight and Voodoo Doll.

Now, this is a beauty blog so there was no way getting round an Autumn beauty fav. This season it's all about the lips but personally, it's been all about the skin. I have been trying out concealers - new and old - as well as foundation and moisturizers. After a lot of combinations the favourite is mixing the Simple - Anti-Spot Moisturizer with my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. It makes my skin look effortless.

Finally: fashion. I have always loved a good-old jumper and jeans combo, but this Autumn it has been all about the coat. Constantly, my New Look Grey Parka has been outworn. In town with my friends, on the way to and from school and all the time in-between. This coat was a birthday present back in August from my parents and I immediately tried it on and tested it! Not the most waterproof, but looks great and keeps me warm - even if the hood is too big.

That's it! Happy start of Winter - another post like this in March?

Hugs and kisses

How I've Decorated My Room

Heey,

With Christmas only days away I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the festive decor in my room. Most of these things are left over from last year but I have purchased a few new items. Unfortunately being a 14 year old girl - I haven't got spare money to spend on decorations so it's very special when I get something new.

This time last year I was given a Christmassy throw from my friend Amber. I think it was £5 in Primark which is good value for money because I have been using it a lot (even in the summer) and it hasn't ripped or malted. I love the pattern and it's incredibly soft. I have used it this year as a rug to cover my disgusting brown carpet. By having it on the floor beside me I can have it as a cute decoration by day and a warm blanket by night.

Next is my golden garland. This was purchased from an English shop called 'The Range' and I think it was around £3. I have customized it for various seasons but it was meant from Christmas. This month I have left it quite plain but added 3 sparkly snowflakes and baubles (this was bought at Hobbycraft in the sale).

Recently my Mum went to London with her friends and went to Liberty's and bought a special fabric garland. It has pink Christmas tree's hung up with black and white twine. I love this so much, it was such a nice surprise when my Mum came home with presents. She also bought me a special bauble to hang on the tree. Thanks Mum!

I am a big lover of fairy lights and this year (as another present from Mum) I have some amazing Rudolf the red-nose reindeer fairy lights! This was £10 from Marks and Spencers which is quite expensive compared to my other £1 lights! I think this is my favourite decoration - it's so cute! Also it's battery operated which means I could put them everywhere. I choose to attach them around my dresser and I love to turn them on in the morning when I'm getting dressed and at night when I'm reading.

Here are a few of other festive decorations I have dotted around my room:

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed have a look around my room at the festive decorations I have put up this year

See you soon

Winter Wishlist

Heey,

Now I'm all about the Winter weather, I even prefer Christmas to my birthday! So when Winter comes I like to fully immerse myself with a few things to emphasize the colder times of year...

I feel that the first step is so make your surroundings warmer. Now i'm not talking about turning on the central heating, oh no. I'm talking about the good-old furry blankets with matching bedding!
Last year I was really impressed with Primark (when am I not!) but this year the tables have turned to ASDA!
My Summer bedding was also from ASDA and I was really happy with the quality and cosy-ness. My favourite print for Winter is the Printed Knit Duvet with the Faux Fur Throw and Cushion.
These products come to the grand total of £52 which can be quite a lot of money if you're on a budget and I highly doubt I will be seeing this on my bed any time soon (unfortunately)!

Next on the list is on the same topic of warmth but we've now upgraded to the hot water bottle! Personally, my feet get really cold at winter, no matter how many pairs of fluffy socks I pile on! So a hot water bottle really does the trick when my feet feel like they're about to fall off! Sticking with ASDA I really enjoy the Cosimax Hot Water Bottle and Cover Set in Cream - bit off a mouth full! It has 2 properties. 1) it holds hot water 2) it's fluffy. £5

Constant mugs of hot chocolate (and/or tea) is very important any time during the year. However this year my parents bought a milk froth-er. I. Love. It. I'm that person who only drinks hot chocolate when it's made of milk not water. To use this machine I simply add milk up to the line, press a button, wait a few minutes and then pour the hot milk into my Primark Santa mug :) Perfect.

Finally on the heat theme is a warm fuzzy jumper. You can get these anywhere but I personally like New Look for all my Clothes. The quality is great, the price is reasonable (especially when I'm not paying) and the choice is endless. I really like the 'Nothing To Wear' jumper because it's like my catchphrase at the weekends. For £14.99 I think it's defiantly on my wishlist.

Finally - berry red lips. A winter classic. I have never had the confidence to wear a rouge lip but this year I want to (at least once) go shopping in town using my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 31! I bought this ages ago so I probably shouldn't but this on my wishlist but I had couldn't not! I love the look off red and gold make up so keep your eye's pealed for something like that.

Congratulations for getting this far. I hope you've had a wonderful time. Don't forget to +1 and comment if you wish you had any of these wondrous things,

Hugs and kisses
Liv xoxo
