With Christmas only days away I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the festive decor in my room. Most of these things are left over from last year but I have purchased a few new items. Unfortunately being a 14 year old girl - I haven't got spare money to spend on decorations so it's very special when I get something new.
This time last year I was given a Christmassy throw from my friend Amber. I think it was £5 in Primark which is good value for money because I have been using it a lot (even in the summer) and it hasn't ripped or malted. I love the pattern and it's incredibly soft. I have used it this year as a rug to cover my disgusting brown carpet. By having it on the floor beside me I can have it as a cute decoration by day and a warm blanket by night.
Next is my golden garland. This was purchased from an English shop called 'The Range' and I think it was around £3. I have customized it for various seasons but it was meant from Christmas. This month I have left it quite plain but added 3 sparkly snowflakes and baubles (this was bought at Hobbycraft in the sale).
Recently my Mum went to London with her friends and went to Liberty's and bought a special fabric garland. It has pink Christmas tree's hung up with black and white twine. I love this so much, it was such a nice surprise when my Mum came home with presents. She also bought me a special bauble to hang on the tree. Thanks Mum!
I am a big lover of fairy lights and this year (as another present from Mum) I have some amazing Rudolf the red-nose reindeer fairy lights! This was £10 from Marks and Spencers which is quite expensive compared to my other £1 lights! I think this is my favourite decoration - it's so cute! Also it's battery operated which means I could put them everywhere. I choose to attach them around my dresser and I love to turn them on in the morning when I'm getting dressed and at night when I'm reading.
